This journey we’re on is quite something. I find that writing (well, mostly thinking but perhaps thinking is sometimes writing) is my main method of getting ‘through’; not around or under or turning away, but getting ‘through’. Reading is a similar thing — a way for me to get ‘through’. Must say, Devon’s work has been a big part of that. Also Ismatu Gwendolyn!
Reading, thinking and writing as a way of getting through - yes, same! And also as a way of reaching across - through the literary lineages we sit with (I love Ismatu’s musings too) and express (through our writing and theorizing here).
